Quinlan Partners Welcomes Three New Directors in New York and Washington, D.C.

NEW YORK — May 14, 2021 — Quinlan Partners, LLC, is pleased to welcome three Directors to the firm, veteran investigators who bring deep experience in global investigations from their years in the Big Four and other top firms. Roland Peer, who joins in Washington, D.C., and Nina Chausow and Daniel Jang, who join the New York office, bring particular expertise in Latin America, China, and East and Southeast Asia, regions in which they have lived and led numerous investigations, as well as fluency in Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin.

Peer, Chausow and Jang add to Quinlan Partners' growing roster of superlative investigative and business intelligence talent and further enhance its capabilities in complex international dispute support; due diligence, fraud, and anti-corruption investigations; asset tracing; and internal investigations.

Roland Peer has led numerous complex advisory engagements and is well-versed in the expansive public records and open source landscape in the U.S. and foreign jurisdictions in East Asia and the Middle East. Previously, he was an investigations manager and China desk lead in the global corporate intelligence practice of a Big Four professional services firm. Roland has conducted and supervised research and strategic projects looking into targets in more than 100 countries for various legal, business, regulatory compliance, and financial crime investigation contexts. His clients have included international organizations, NGOs, law enforcement and other government agencies, law firms, and large- and mid-size public and private businesses across all sectors and industries. One recent, long-term engagement involved extensive support to the ethics and compliance program of a leading global technology conglomerate. Roland has lived and worked in China, where he lectured university students on ethical business conduct and its intersection with society. He has a B.A. in Economics from University of California at Berkeley and a M.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Nina Chausow spent four years at another global investigative firm, where she conducted domestic and international due diligence, complex litigation support, and fraud and corruption investigations. Nina has worked on and led numerous FCPA-focused investigative assignments in Latin America, including in the financial services, energy and infrastructure sectors. She has extensive experience conducting misconduct and workplace harassment investigations, asset recovery, and source interview matters in the region. Nina holds a bachelor's degree in Spanish and Portuguese literature from Princeton University and is fluent in both languages.

Daniel Jang specializes in conducting complex and cross-border investigations in opaque jurisdictions. Prior to Quinlan, Daniel spent seven years with global risk advisory firms in Singapore and Washington, D.C., where he managed and conducted projects in Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. A lawyer by training, Daniel has expertise in leveraging human intelligence to assist legal counsel during fraud and corruption investigations, asset searches and recovery, and whistleblower matters. He also has deep experience in identifying and analyzing deal-related corruption and reputational risks for private equity and institutional investors, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, where he was based for more than seven years. A fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker, Daniel earned his J.D. from American University in 2013.
