Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) / Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Environmental, social and governance (ESG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) matters have become increasingly important to investors, companies, their boards, and other corporate stakeholders in recent years; current economic, public health and social justice concerns around the world have only intensified this focus. As a result, understanding and vetting the ESG and CSR claims of potential partners, acquisitions, and others has become increasingly important as part of the due diligence process.
We utilize our global reach to assess and vet ESG and CSR claims and compliance, including by vetting partners and supply chains to ensure they are free of elements that could cause harm to the human health, and social well-being, and the environment. In addition, we can assist clients in assessing compliance with laws intended to incentivize companies to utilize suppliers that implement ethical practices in their workforce and operations management and reject suppliers that do not.
We have capabilities and experience with respect to a broad swath of potential concerns, including: the UK Modern Slavery Act; conflict minerals reporting; supply chain transparency; environmental due diligence; and shareholder concerns on social and environmental impacts, including disclosure of climate-related risks under U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission rules.
